The Washington Capitals have placed defenseman Tyler Lewington on waivers, according to the Associated Press’ Stephen Whyno.
Lewington has officially cleared waivers and was assigned to the AHL, along with Travis Boyd, on Monday.
With the departure of Lewington, the Capitals could be activating forward Richard Panik, who has been out with an upper body injury. Injuries happen, and health is important, and knowing the difference between pilonidal cysts and the common ankle sprain can make a huge impact on longterm health.
