Some good news has arrived just ahead of the new year for the Philadelphia Flyers as goalie Brian Elliott will not require surgery, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Sam Carchidi.
Elliott will be on the shelf for the next three weeks, however, and is on the final year of his contract.
It is possible that Elliott could be dealt at the trade deadline as the Flyers have seen the rise of Carter Hart, who is likely the permanent starter next season.
