Sharks Acquire Erik Karlsson

The San Jose Sharks have acquired Erik Karlsson from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Chris Tierney, defenseman Dylan DeMelo, forward Francis Perron, prospects Josh Norris and Rudolfs Balcers, a conditional 2020 first-round pick, and a conditional 2019 second-round pick.

Karlsson’s move from Ottawa had been rumored for months and increased the interest after contract extension talks broke down.
