Boston Bruins left winger Brad Marchand will be playing in the All-Star game despite serving a 5-game suspension.
“I’m going to go” Marchand said of his All-Star game status.
Marchand was suspended for five games by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday for elbowing New Jersey Devils forward Marcus Johansson on Tuesday.
“I’m very proud of that opportunity. It’s something that I’ve worked very hard for and never thought I’d have the opportunity to do. It’s something I’m very proud about and I’m going to go and enjoy every second of it.”
