The Chicago Blackhawks may be getting some much needed reinforcements soon in the form of goaltender Corey Crawford.
Crawford, who participated in an off-ice workout for a third consecutive day Wednesday, could join the Blackhawks during a late-January road trip after the All-Star break.
“It’s something we’re discussing, a possibility,” Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said (h/t NHL.com).
Crawford hasn’t played since December 23rd due to an upper-body injury.
“When we get him on the ice we’ll know more, but playing may be a little distant,” Quenneville continued.
“Certainly, being around his teammates and being back around the group and progressing as well,” Quenneville explained. “It seems like he has a good frame of mind and he’s looking forward to getting on the ice.”
