Penguins Place Justin Schultz On Injured Reserve

The Pittsburgh Penguins placed defenseman Justin Schultz on injured reserve on Thursday.

Schultz sustained a lower-body injury against the New York Rangers on Tuesday that forced him from the game during the 1st period.

Schultz tried to gut it out by returning in the second but left again after playing three shifts.

Pittsburgh recalled defenseman Frank Corrado from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

Shutz has 10 points (two goals, eight assists) over 23 games this season for the Penguins.
