John Tavares Set To Meet With Sharks, Leafs, Bruins, Lightning, Stars

New York Islanders’ captain John Tavares, a pending unrestricted free agent, will be a busy man over the course of the next few days.

Tavares will meet with the San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, and Tampa Bay Lightning this week at the CAA offices in Los Angeles, California, according to The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun.

LeBrun also said that the Islanders are still in the mix and added that 2-3 teams will speak with Tavares over the phone and, depending on the conversation, will decide if he will meet either, or both, in person.
