Carolina Hurricanes goalie Scott Darling will miss two weeks of action due to a lower-body injury, Canes head coach Rod Brind’Amour announced, according to Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer.
Darling suffered the injury during Sunday’s preseason contest against the Nashville Predators and the injury was described by Brind’Amour as a hamstring issue following the game.
Darling signed a four-year, $16.6-million contract with Carolina last offseason and struggled during his first year, going 13-21-7 with an .888 save percentage.
