Blues Sign David Perron To Four-Year Deal

The St. Louis Blues will be bringing back David Perron for yet another stint with the deal as Perron has agreed to a four-year, $16M to re-join the team, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Perron is coming off a career year in which he scored 16 goals and 50 assists in just 70 games for the Vegas Golden Knights, although postseason struggles continued to haunt him.

Blues’ Vladimir Tarasenko to Undergo Shoulder Surgery

St. Louis Blues star forward Vladimir Tarasenko will miss at least five months as he is set to undergo shoulder surgery, according to an official team announcement.

Tarasenko will be placed on long-term injured reserve and will be re-evaluated at the conclusion of the recovery process, but he is set to miss the majority of the season.

Tarasenko, 27, started the 2019-2020 season strongly, notching 10 points in 9 games before being forced out of the 10th game.

Blues Recall Seven Players

The St. Louis Blues have recalled several players, their “Black Aces”, following their first round series victory over the Winninpeg Jets.

Winnipeg has recalled Klim Kostin, Chris Butler, Jordan Nolan, Austin Poganski, Niko Mikkola, Mitch Reinke and Jake Walman to join the team.

While they are not expected to get any game time, they are expected to practice and gain experience.

Blues Won’t Commit to Craig Berube

The St. Louis Blues won’t remain committed to interim head coach Craig Berube, who took over the reigns following the team’s dismissal of head coach Mike Yeo on Monday, and plan to conduct a “detailed search” for their next head coach, according to NHL.com’s Lou Korac.

Blues general manager Doug Armstrong made the comments during a press conference, adding that it’s possible a permanent replacement is hired midseason, adding that Hall of Fame defenseman and Stanley Cup-winning coach Larry Robinson will join Berube’s staff for around one month.
