Canadiens To Buy Out Steve Mason

The Montreal Canadiens will place goaltender Steve Mason on unconditional waivers for the purpose of buying out his contract, according to TVA Sports’ Renaud Lavoie.

Mason, who had one year and $4.1M remaining on his contract, was acquired from the Winnipeg Jets in a salary dump recently.
