The Arizona Coyotes have reached a verbal agreement with franchise defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.
The new deal is believed to be for eight years at more than $8 million per season.
Ekman-Larsson had one year remaining on the six-year, $33-million deal he signed in the spring of 2013 and he will be eligible to sign his new extension on July 1st.
Ehman-Larsson scored 14 goals and 28 assists last season for Arizona.
