San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane didn’t have the kind of postseason that he is accustomed to, suffering a notable drop in offensive production.
Kane’s lack of production may be the result of injuries.
According to The Athletic’s Kevin Kurz, Kane said that he’d been playing with a separated shoulder and had also dealt with an MCL injury as well.
Kane notched three goals and an assist in the Sharks’ opening-round series, but scored just one goal in 6 games in the next round against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Kane, 26, had a solid season, scoring 54 points. So his dropoff in the playoffs was certainly a surprise.
