Flames Add Bill Peters As New Head Coach

It didn’t take long for the Calgary Flames to find their next head coach, and Bill Peters wasn’t out of work for very long after stepping down as head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Flames are hiring Bill Peters to be their next head coach, as a press conference to formally introduce Peters was scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Peters has long been looking to head back to his home, the province of Alberta, and the Flames job gives his the opportunity to do just that.

Peters’ defensive acumen should help bring Calgary to the next level, especially with talent such as Travis Hamonic on the roster.
