Wild’s Matt Cullen Unsure Of Playing Future After Playoff Exit

Minnesota Wild center Matt Cullen is unsure if he has played his last NHL game, which was a 5-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets that eliminated the Wild from the playoffs.

Cullen, 40, admitted that he hasn’t decided his playing future just yet.

“My only thought here the last while was getting it back home for Game 6. So to be honest, I don’t have an answer right now,” he said Friday, accoridng to The Athletic’s Michael Russo.

“We need some time to get away from it all. As I’ve said in the past, it’s an important decision to me and my family so we’ll give it its rightful due.”

Cullen, who is a native of Minnesota, signed a one-year deal with the Wild last summer to be closer to his family, and scored 11 goals and 11 assists in 79 games with Minnesota this season.
