Flames’ Mike Smith Listed As Day-To-Day

Calgary Flames goalie Mike Smith is listed as day-to-day with what is being described as a lower body injury, according to Flames’ head coach Glen Gulutzan.

Smith was injured during Sunday’s game against the New York Islanders and was helped off the ice, replaced by David Rittich who will play on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins and again on Thursday as the Flames take on the Nashville Predators.

Smith is a big loss for Calgary as he ranks second in the NHL with 47 games started and has a .921 save percentage and a 2.53 goals-against average.
