Leafs’ Auston Matthews Skates, But Will Miss 5th Straight Game

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews skated again on Tuesday, another positive stride in his attempt to return to action, but the forward will miss his 5th straight game, according to TSN’s Kristen Shilton.

The team has a plan in place for his return but Matthews will need to participate in a full practice before he gets the green light to return to action.

“It looks to me like he’s getting ready to go,” said Maple Leads head coach Mike Babcock. “When they tell me he’s ready, he’s ready and in the meantime he looks good and when I talk to him he seems good.”
