Buffalo Sabres Goaltenders Targeted By Teams

The Buffalo Sabres are a team to watch as teams around the league continue to monitor their goaltender situation, interested in the availability of some of the Sabres’ netminders.

Buffalo will start the week off by placing Matt Moulson on waivers at noon and Darren Dreger of TSN reports that teams have called the Sabres about both Chad Johnson and Robin Lehner, trying to gauge their availability.

Lehner and Johnson are free agents this summer. Lehner, however, will be a restricted free agent, and presents an interesting situation for the front office who need to decide if they believe he will be the long-term answer at goaltender moving forward.

If not, Buffalo could be a very active team on the trade market this season.
