Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf Undergoes Surgery, Out Two Months

Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf has undergone surgery on his zygomatic (cheek) bone and is expected to miss around two months of action.

Getzlaf was hit in the face with the puck during an October 29th game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Ducks have been hit hard by injuries and are now going to be without Getzlaf for an extended time.

Anaheim reportedly tried to acquire Vadim Shipachyov from the Vegas Golden Knights, but ultimately couldn’t get past the bonus repayment, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
