Blues Forward Vladimir Sobotka Fined $5,000

St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka has been fines $5,000 for high-sticking Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced on Thursday.

The high-sticking occurred during the 2nd period of the Blues/Blackhawks game on Wednesday night.

The incident resulted in Sobotka being assessed a double-minor.

St. Louis went on to win 5-2 which launched them into first place in the Central Division.
