Coyotes’ Rick Tocchet Apologizes To Fans Following 5th Straight Loss

The Arizona Coyotes 5th straight loss, and slow start to open the regular season, may have their fans hanging their heads low.

But Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet is acknowledging the team’s dismal start and addressed fans after their 5th straight loss.

“I’m embarrassed,” Tocchet told Sarah McLellan or The Arizona Republic. “I apologize to the fans.”

Arizona was expecting more production from their offseason acquisitions such as Derek Stepan, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jason Demers, and goaltender Antti Raanta, but the moves have failed, thus far, to pay off.

“When pressure hits this team for some reason, adversity, they just forget where to go and then they just starting running around,” Tocchet said.
