Las Vegas is celebrating the impressive and historic start of the expansion Vegas Golden Knights and James Neal has been at the center of the success.
Neal has paced the Knights to a 3-0-0 record with five goals in the first week of the season, becoming just the second player to score the game-winner in his team’s first three games of a season.
Brian Propp of the Philadelphia Flyers did it back in 1982.
Neal is just the fourth player in the expansion era to score in the first three games of his team’s inaugural season, joining Billy Harris, Larry Keenan, and Kent Douglas.
The Knights became the 1st expansion team to start 3-0.
More than after the Las Vegas Strip shooting massacre, the Golden Knights, playing in their home opener, honored the victims and heroes before the game and no ads were displayed on the boards surrounding the ice, simply the message ”Vegas Strong.”
