Oilers, Patrick Maroon In Preliminary Contract Extension Talks

The Edmonton Oilers are in contact with Patrick Maroon’s camp regarding a contract extension, according to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug.

Maroon has one year left on the three-year, $6-million extension he signed with the Anaheim Ducks back in 2014, which comes with a $1.5M cap hit.

Maroon excelled playing alongside Connor McDavid, putting in his best season with 27 goals and 42 points in 81 games.
