Yesterday, we shared that agent Steve Bartlett said that the market was picking up for free agent Drew Stafford.
A day later, Bartlett was proven right.
The New Jersey Devils signed Stafford to a one-year, $800,000 contract, the team announced on Friday.
Stafford, 31, is coming off a down year that saw him notch eight goals and 21 points in 58 games during his time playing between the Winnipeg Jets and Boston Bruins.
New Jersey becomes Stafford’s fourth team since the 2014-15 season.
