Senators’ Mark Borowiecki Suspended 3 Games

Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki has been officially suspended three games for his illegal hit to the head of Vegas Golden Knights forward Cody Eakin, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced on Monday.

The incident took place during the first period of Sunday’s game and resulted in Eakin being forced out of the game, and would not return.

This suspension marks Borowiecki’s second suspension in less than a week following his one-game ban for elbowing Boston Bruins’ Urho Vaakanainen.
