Blues Sign David Perron To Four-Year Deal

The St. Louis Blues will be bringing back David Perron for yet another stint with the deal as Perron has agreed to a four-year, $16M to re-join the team, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

Perron is coming off a career year in which he scored 16 goals and 50 assists in just 70 games for the Vegas Golden Knights, although postseason struggles continued to haunt him.

Blues Land Jakub Jerabek in Trade with Oilers

The St. Louis Blues have acquired defenseman Jakub Jerabek via trade from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a condition sixth-round draft pick in 2020, the team officially announced on Monday.

The draft pick could escalate to a fifth-rounder if Jerabek plays in more than 50 regular season games for the Blues this season.

Jerabek signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Edmonton back in August.

Blues Sign Jordan Schmaltz to 2-Year Deal

The St. Louis Blues has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with defenseman Jordan Schmaltz, according to a team announcement on Wednesday.

Schmaltz’s new deal will  pay him $700,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 in the American Hockey League in the first year of the deal, and will become a one-way contract after that and pay him $700,000.

Schmaltz poured in five goals and 23 points over 31 games with the San Antonio Rampage in the AHL last season.

Blues Robby Fabbri Medically Cleared

St. Louis Blues forward Robby Fabbri has been medically cleared from the ACL injury that cost him the entire 2017-2018 season, according to a team announcement.

“He’s doing very well,” Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said in a statement. “He is up in Toronto working very hard and time is going to tell on this one. It’s very difficult, you feel for Robby. He was projecting to be such a good player and then these two injuries kept him out a year and a half.”

“We want to make sure we’re not putting him in a position to fail when he comes (to training camp),” Armstrong continued. “He’ll come back in and be hoping for the best, but expecting a little bit of readjustment. But health-wise, he’s doing good.”

Fabbri’s notched 29 goals and 37 assists in 123 games over two seasons with the Blues.
