Sharks, Evander Kane Working On 7-Year Contract Extension

The San Jose Sharks and pending unrestricted free agent Evander Kane are working towards a 7-year contract extension, according to TSN’s Pierre LeBrun.

In Kane’s new deal, he is expected to earn around $7M annually, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

San Jose netted Kane in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres at the NHL trade deadline, sending forward prospect Danny O’Regan along with 2 conditional draft picks to the Sabres.

Kane notched 14 points over 17 regular season games, and 5 points in 9 playoff games for San Jose this year.
