New Jersey Devils’ defenseman Sami Vatanen has confirmed that he suffered a concussion due to the hit he received from Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov in Game 4, according to Devils’ beat reporter Amanda Stein.
The hit, which occurred late in the 1st period, sidelined Vatanen for the remainder of the game and came with no penalty for Kucherov.
