Blackhawks Sign Jan Rutta To Contract Extension

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defenseman Jan Rutta to a one-year contract extension on Thursday, the team officially announced.

According to The Athletic’s Scott Powers, Rutta’s new deal with pay him $2.25M. He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

Rutta, 27, has six goals and 19 points in 43 games for Chicago this season.
