Islanders, Josh Bailey Nearing Contract Extension

The New York Islanders are nearing a contract extension agreement with forward Josh Bailey, according to TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

Per McKenzie’s report, Bailey’s new contract will be either a five or six-year deal with an average annual price tag of around $5 million.

Bailey, who is in the final year of a five-year, $16.5-million, is a pending unrestricted free agent.

Bailey was named an All-Star this season for the 1st time in his career.
