Ducks Waive Dennis Rasmussen

The Anaheim Ducks have placed Dennis Rasmussen on unconditional waivers on Monday.

Rasmussen has not seen any NHL action since mid-December and it is likely that he could head back to Sweden or end up in a European league should a mutual termination of his contract follow.

In that scenario, the Ducks would receive no cap relief and is a further indication of a bad deal all the way around, as there is clearly no fit for Rasmussen and Anaheim.
