The Pittsburgh Penguins are recalling first-year forward Zach Aston-Reese on Saturday after placing Conor Sheary on injured reserve.
A top college prospect last offseason, Aston-Reese comes in with a lot of hype after the Penguins beat out teams such as the Edmonton Oilers, Vancouver Canucks, and Ottawa Senators, opting to sign a 2-year deal with Pittsburgh.
Aston-Reese was a Hobey Baker finalist in 2016-17 scoring 63 points in 38 games.
Aston-Reese, 23, has scored 9 goals and 20 assists in 41 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
