Blue Jackets’ Brandon Dubinsky Out 6-8 Weeks With Fractured Orbital Bone

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without Brandon Dubinsky for the next 6-8 weeks due to a fractured orbital bone, according to a team announcement.

Dubinsky suffered the injury during a fight with Edmonton Oilers’ Zack Kassian who leveled Dubinsky with a haymaker.

With Dubinsky out of the lineup and placed on injured reserve, Columbus recalled Jordan Schroeder from the AHL.

The team said the following about the incident involving Dubinsky.

At this time, the damage has not affected the function of his eye and long-term vision. He will continue to be monitored closely by our medical team
