Marek Mazanec To Sign With Rangers

Marek Mazanec was placed on waivers today, clearing his path back to North American professional hockey.

Mazanec had been under contract with the Nashville Predators but had his contract terminated to pursue opportunities in the KHL.

Mazanec found a roster spot with Slovan Bratislava in the KHL, which terminated his agreement with the Predators, and now Mazanec has moved on from his KHL team.

Mazanec apparently is destined for a new home as he is expected to sign with the New York Rangers, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
