Arizona Coyotes Send Lawson Crouse To AHL

The Arizona Coyotes have sent Lawson Crouse to the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners, according to the AHL’s transactions report.

Arizona is expecting to have forward Brendan Perlini back soon as he has been travelling with the team recently.

The Coyotes are hoping that the 6’4″ 220-lbs Crouse can develop more in the AHL before being brought up to the main roster again.

Coyotes Sign Oliver Ekman-Larsson To Contract Extension

The Arizona Coyotes, as expected, have signed Oliver Ekman-Larsson to an eight-year contract extension, according to a team annoucement.

Ekman-Larsson’s new deal carries an average annual value of $8.25M, according to 98.7 Arizona Sports’ Craig Morgan.

Ekman-Larsson, 26, was entering the final year of his six-year, #44M deal that he inked with Arizona back in 2013 and is coming off a season in which he scored 42 points in all 82 games for the Yotes.

Coyotes, Niklas Hjalmarsson Agree To Extension

The Arizona Coyotes have agreed to a two-year, $10M contract extension with veteran defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson, according to Arizona Sports’ Craig Morgan.

Hjalmarsson, 31, was acquired last offseason from the Chicago Blackhawks to provide a veteran presence to Arizona’s defensive core.

Hjalmarsson was in the final year of a five-year, $20.5M deal he inked with Chicago back in 2013.

Coyotes Sign Kevin Connauton To 2-Year Deal

The Arizona Coyotes have agreed to a 2-year deal with defenseman Kevin Connauton, the team officially announced.

According to Arizona Sports’ Craig Morgan, Connauton’s new deal is worth $2.75M.

“We are very pleased to sign Kevin to a contract extension,” general manager John Chayka said. “Kevin is a versatile defenseman with a great work ethic. He had an excellent season last year and he adds depth to our blue line. We’re happy to have him back.”

Connauton, 28, is coming off a season which saw him pour in 11 goals and 10 assists.
