Lightning To Retire Vincent Lecavalier’s Number

The Tampa Bay Lightning are ensuring that no player ever wears the number 4 again as the team is planning to retire the number.

Vincent Lecavalier’s iconic number will be raised to the rafters of the at Amalie Arena prior to Tampa Bay’s game against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday, February 10th, 2018.

Lecavalier is the franchise’s all-time leader in games played (1,038) and goals (383), and ranks second behind Martin St. Louis, the only other player whose jersey that team has retired, in both assists and points.

Lecavalier was drafted in 1998 as the 1st pick in the NHL Entry Draft.
